Emerging Latin American Artist Scholarship

At Allende Arts, we believe that talent should have the opportunity to grow — regardless of financial circumstances.

Our Emerging Latin American Artist Scholarship was created to give a developing artists from Mexico and Latin America the time, space and creative community to focus on their work during an artist residency in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Through donations from our community and from our work at Allende Arts, we hope to provide up to three art residencies to artists who otherwise may not have the financial means to participate. Scholarships are available between May and July of 2027

The Scholarship

The selected artist will receive a sponsored residency at Allende Arts Space, including accommodation and dedicated workspace. At this time, we don’t provide transportation or stipends.

During their stay, the artist will become part of the Allende Arts community, working alongside local and international artists while experiencing the extraordinary creative culture of San Miguel de Allende.

They will have access to our shared creative spaces and community activities, as well as opportunities to connect with artists, galleries and the wider arts community of San Miguel.

Who We Hope to Support

The scholarship is intended for an emerging artist from Mexico and Latin America who is actively developing their creative practice and would benefit from dedicated time and space to explore, experiment and create.

We welcome artists with a strong creative voice, curiosity and a desire to engage with a diverse artistic community.
